Retention Policies are configured on Target storage locations.
The Retention Policy applies to every file which is sent to the target and can be edited at any time.
Retention Policies are set in increments of days. If ‘180’ is set, then data will be deleted from the target 180 days after it has been migrated.
StorCycle will process Retention Delete jobs at UTC Midnight, where the system will assess which targets have a policy, and which files are scheduled for deletion.
Administrators can elect to receive E-Mail notifications of any upcoming pending delete jobs.
A Retention Policy can be edited or added at any time to a Target location. If a policy is added or reduced, StorCycle will wait until UTC Midnight to make a new evaluation for which files must now be deleted.
