BlackPearl Bucket Ingest
Spectra Logic's BlackPearl Converged Storage System can be configured as a StorCycle target, where BlackPearl bucket's are configured as target landing zones.
During initial creation, a BlackPearl bucket can be configured to be ingested into the StorCycle database, where all content on the bucket becomes available for restore.
Note:
- Only buckets which have not been used in StorCycle jobs can be ingested
- After the first ingest, the BlackPearl bucket is only available to restore data and new migrate/store jobs cannot move data to it
- Bucket ingests can happen as frequently as needed, which will continue to make the bucket contents available for restore
- Data which has been ingested from the BlackPearl system cannot be modified outside of StorCycle or it will not be available for restore.
On the Storage Location page, each location has an Actions menu. BlackPearl Nearline systems configured as targets have the option for Ingest:
